What up! Just wanted to share this neat flash application/website I found called viewbook. Their font in their logo almost look like facebooks haha. You will think deviantArt will have something as intuitive as this thing long ago but this place is just soooo stagnant even though it's ranked in the top 100 sites on alexa, I think it's mostly because of the talented artists on here though. Anyway, go sign up for your own viewbook, I doubt this will stay free for long.

Update: Also, anybody has a theory as to why deviantArt has not made a simple facebook app yet? They can even tweak their pasties a bit.

I mean they have no reason to, I'm majoring in computer science for goodness sake. This morning, I tried to install Ubuntu on my computer because I was getting so frustrated with my buggy XP. Unfortunately I know little about partitions and to make matters worst, Gparted crashed on me during the installation. I quickly restared to see the damage done and yep, XP was gone! The vector (the .ai file) I did a few days ago, a bunch of pictures I plan to vector, music, along with other recent files were all deleted. WTF! So I reinstalled XP and started already was infected by some trojan/internet dialer thing called tj.exe that messes up my connection. Oh god I am going through hell with computers. I downloaded a few free virus scanners (ewido) and it found some backdoor and deleted it. Things seem to be ok for now but I don't know for how long.

Maybe flickr is so stable and fast because it is owned by yahoo who probably have unlimited webspace. I love browsing through a bunch of photos there. Everything loads and loads fast. DeviantArt works very similar but not when it comes to loading and speed. I am really annoyed at how a picture does not load with the rest of the page. This happens randomly. Sometimes they show up after I reload, sometimes deviations never show up. Why can't dA be faster and more stable? Why? Also, will deviantArt fix it's RSS, you know... add some thumbanils or something. I use bloglines and the RSS for journals and people's gallery are just text (isn't there a way to transform the : iconX : type stuff to html that XML can understand?). Would also love to see a revamped message center where you can sort by category, date (the default now), or something like that. Having your deviantWatch page list EVERYBODY you ever added on one page also sucks. We should be able to to browse people we added by letter. I wish I graduate and become a skilled web developer and get hired by deviantArt but that's unlikely to happen. Anyway, just felt like ranting about dA a lil bit.

Sup! I'm in the middle of my winter break sorting things out and what not. Setting some goals for the spring semester like setting higher expectations for myself. I hope to go through the semester without dropping a class, failing a class, better yet get nothing less than A's and B's. Last semester stunk for me so I gotta turn it around. Hate worrying about tution every semester too. Anyway, rented this show called The Office, it's very funny. At the same time I don't like to think about job security and all the annoyances of work I am going have to face after graduation. Hope to get in the mood to vector soon but I just have so much on my head right now ya dig.
